Biarritz Hen Weekends
Biarritz is a vibrant cosmopolitan town with magnificent beaches, golf courses and numerous sporting facilities, not forgetting the surf. Surfing started in France here in Biarritz in 1957 and surfers come from all over the world to ride the waves. Coupled with windsurfing and other water based sports Biarritz has reinvented itself as a chic and classy weekend destination.
In addition to the numerous beach and sea activities there are plenty of land based activities including go-karting, golf, tennis and horse riding to satisfy every taste and level of energy.
Of course the temptation of some retail therapy, wandering through the morning markets and watching the beautiful people go by from a pavement café can fill several hours too.
At night the cafes and bars come alive and after sampling some of Biarritz Basque influenced restaurants locals and visitors head for Port Vieux which is the old port where the bars and clubs are buzzing well into the night.
